Cheesy Cheese Sandwich
If you love the taste of cheese, the smell of cheese, the sight of cheese, in fact, if you start drooling at just the sound of cheese, then you will love me for the recipe I am about to share with you. This is the awesomest (Yes, I know that that’s not a real word, but I am really trying to express the awesomeness here) cheese sandwich we have ever made. You can make plain cheese or you can add any sauce, meat and/or veggies of your choice. The possibilities are endless!
Ingredients:
- Shredded cheese (Can be any medium cheese, like, Cheddar, Monterrey Jack and/or Mozzarella). I mixed all three.
- Sliced Bread (any)
- Sauce/spread – optional – However, for this particular recipe, I used Habanero Salsa
Directions:
Step 1: Lightly toast bread on the grill, one side only
Step 2: Once done, take off the grill and spread salsa on the grilled side of the bread
Step 3: Sprinkle cheese on top of the salsa
Step 4: Cover with untoasted slice
Step 5: Sprinkle cheese on the top slice again
Step 6: Place parchment paper on the grill. It should be big enough to completely wrap the sandwich.
Step 7: Sprinkle cheese on the parchment paper spaced out such that you can place sandwiches on top of the cheese
Step 8: Place the sandwich on the cheese and wrap in the parchment paper
Step 9: Grill on high for 3-5 minutes or until cheese is melted and bread is toasted
